The final. It had finally arrived. The last game of the season, and for some dark reason Honour couldn’t quite fathom, the feeling that this would be the last game of her career had settled upon her.
It wasn’t rational. She’d been over her preparations as thoroughly as ever; more so, even. This was the most prepared she’d ever been for any game, ever.
Yet, no matter how she tried to brush it aside, a tiny, whispering voice had plagued her for days.
