RuneScape Kingdoms: The Roleplaying Game
Let's rewind a bit to January 2022, when we first heard whispers of RuneScape Kingdoms: The Roleplaying Game. We’ve had a lot of questions since then, and we’re excited to start sharing more details!
There wasn’t a roleplaying system in existence that could capture RuneScape’s je ne sais quoi. So, we made a whole new one, instead!
This bespoke system is designed to be accessible, elegant, and thoroughly steeped in RuneScape. With it, game masters of any level can run authentic RuneScape campaigns.
As well as an in-depth guide to Gielinor, there are complete character creation rules, an extensive crafting system, iconic weapons and spells, and a bestiary full of monsters and bosses!
In short, this core book includes all the juicy details and essential know-how for any ‘noob’ wanting to dip their toes into Gielinor. It’s available to pre-order in late September, alongside the board game.

And as for the board game, get ready for cooperative campaigns played your way! You'll embark on quests, hone your skills, meet unforgettable characters, craft awesome gear, and, let's be honest, probably get distracted by intriguing side quests.
Along the way, you'll face formidable bosses, earn those coveted capes, and experience everything from baking game-changing cakes to saving Gielinor from fiery ruin.
You might remember the board game made its debut on Kickstarter back in 2022, where thousands of fans pledged to make it a reality. Well, that reality is soon to come upon us!
The game has changed from what you saw on Kickstarter, too. It’s been polished, packed with art, finalised, and is now ready to grace your tabletops with glorious RuneScape adventures.
And guess what (again)? The pre-order will include some exclusive, limited expansions from the Kickstarter, only available from Steamforged Games. That includes the Culinaromancer, Kalphite Queen, and TzKal-Zuk expansions. It also includes the Deluxe Expansion full of luxury component upgrades, like neoprene mats and metal coins.
The RuneScape Kingdoms core game, Shadow of Elvarg, and the formidable King Black Dragon expansion, will both be available here and from other great retailers.
